HULL STRIPPING AND ANTIFOULING
SMN Boatyard in Port Grimaud uses the BIOBOAT process (1) to remove the antifouling layers on your hull. Thanks to this system, we strip the hull without aggressing the gelcoat. A slight sanding down, which eliminates the last traces of paint, and creates a good grip for the undercoat, completes the preparation of the hull.
All the small cavities that appeared during the preparation are epoxy-coated and then sand down. Depending on the degree of hygrometry of the hull, preventive treatment of the osmosis can be applied. Composed of two layers of epoxy primer it also allows to create a good grip for the antifouling.
As antifouling, the SMN boatyard in Port Grimaud uses the products
HEMPEL, NAUTIX, BOERO, INTERNATIONAL VO SYSTEM (VC17 AND VC OFFSHORE).
It's application with the pistol avoids the accumulation of the thicknesses of the years, while maintaining the qualities of the smooth gliding of the boat.
A good slip is the assurance of a faster navigation and a fuel economy of almost 10%.
Other antifoulings can be applied if requested. In all cases, you will leave home with a hull like new.
(1)The Bioboat process makes it possible to remove old layers of antifouling by spraying of extruded wheat without impairing the integrity of the gel coat.
